Naples Ristorante in Downtown Disney

July 7, 2020

With Disneyland and California Adventure closed, Disney fans have to get their Disney fix somewhere, and right now that's only in Downtown Disney. I've been going with a friend almost one time a week to try the restaurants I usually don't try. I've eaten at every restaurant in Disneyland and California Adventure, but I haven't always taken the time to check out the restaurants in Downtown Disney. With the parks closed, this is the perfect opportunity.

One I've always wanted to try but haven't is Naples Ristorante. I've heard so many rave about it. With this in mind, it was our first stop. My friend and I shared this 10" Margherita Pizza, and it was so delicious. It has a thin crust--my favorite--with fresh basil and fresh mozzarella cheese. Seriously, it was so good. I am so over the regular pizzas. I think I OD'd on them during my kid's sports awards ceremonies. I just can't take the Costco pizzas anymore with all that bread. I much prefer the thin crust. The bread complements the toppings instead of becoming the main event. I'm not a fan of the pizzas in the parks. I'm looking at you--Alien Pizza Planet and Boardwalk Pizza. However, my gluten free guests have said the gluten free pizzas at Alien Pizza Planet is the best they've had. Maybe because they're made to order and are super fresh. Who knows. I'm not gluten free, so I'm no expert. I do like the thin crust pizzas at Red Rose Taverne. With all this to consider, this pizza was the best I've ever had on property. I would highly recommend it.
