Rancho Del Zocalo has a new and temporary menu item called Caldo de Pollo or Chicken soup. You can only see it on the app under the menu with "sides". It's not posted anywhere in the restaurant, but it's delicious. They start with a scoop of rice, add the vegetable soup with carrots, potatoes, a small piece of corn on the cob and other veggies. Then a couple scoops of chicken and onion if desired is ladled on top and served with a side of corn chips. The serving is meal size and oh so good. On a cool night, like when I had this, the warm soup was not only hearty and filling but warming. I would definitely recommend it. I don't know how long it will be there, but I hope they'll make it permanent. It's $7.99.
